Spring is nearly upon us so fingers crossed for some better weather to come.  We can’t do much about the rain and snow but we can brighten your day with the latest edition of #ATEMatters from Legal Protection Group.

We start this month with an interesting case dealing with Practice Direction 57AC and a good example of why ATE providers don’t like cases relying on oral evidence.  There is a lot going on with QOCS at present so PME v Scout Association and the issue regarding a capped CFA is well worth a read.  We consider two case next dealing with the quality of expert evidence, disregard of duty and an attempt to withdraw a full admission of liability.  Finally this month, and if you haven’t already done so, a change to the CPR provisions everyone should familiarise themselves with.

As always, we welcome your feedback and do let us know if we can be of any assistance regarding your requirements for ATE insurance and/or legal costs funding.
